Prayer

Lord, I love how you call us to prayer! You ask us to seek forgiveness and pray with a clean heart. You ask us to sing our praises to you! You call us into thanksgiving. You invite us to come as we are, and to lay our burdens at your feet. You encourage us to intercede for others in our prayers. You command us stop worrying and to pray continuously! Women and men, alike, you call us. Do we answer? Not often enough, Lord! You quench our thirst, you answer our prayers, you feed us with your word, your voice whispers to us. Lord, help us ignore our distractions and turn to you. Do we spend as much time with you as we spend online, or reading the paper, or watching TV? You call us, Lord. Let us answer. Let ME answer! Let me answer by calling out to you, thirsting for you, witnessing for you, by my words and actions,
to those who need to hear. I love you, Lord! I thank you, God! I praise you for who you are.
Matthew 6:9-13
"This, then, is how you should pray:
" 'Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
10your kingdom come,
your will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.
11Give us today our daily bread.
12Forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
13And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one.[a]'

  1. Assurance in Jesus
May Jesus assure you that as you follow Him
you will never meet a fear He cannot conquer,
you will never face an enemy He cannot defeat,
you will never enter a battle He cannot win,
you will never have a need He cannot meet,
you will never face a temptation He cannot overcome,
you will never have a burden He cannot lift,
you will never face a problem He cannot solve,
you will never have a bondage He cannot break,
you will never have a moment when He does not care,
you will never have a time when He is not there.
I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ's sufficiency]. Philippians 4:13 AMP
